Located in the heart of Covent Garden, The Nomad is full of character. Housed in the historic Grade II-listed Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station, the wedding venue was once stage to iconic trials involving Oscar Wilde and The Kray twins making it a legendary venue for a London wedding.
For this Transatlantic wedding, The Nomad provided the perfect balance of the groom’s British Charm and The Brides American New York spirit. As part of the Sydell Group, the hotel blends art and luxury hospitality, partnering with renowned design studio Roman and Williams to create a space that honours Victorian architecture while weaving in the energy and glamour of New York’s Jazz Age.
With the couple splitting their time between New York and London, The NoMad felt like the natural choice, bringing a stateside energy to this Central London wedding. Its iconic allure has made it one of the most sought-after venues for an American bride in London, and for this couple, it became the perfect stage for their transatlantic love story.
Luxury Bridal Hair and Makeup at The Nomad
The Nomad’s rooms are gorgeous, making them the perfect spot for us to set up and get our beautiful bride Rebecca ready for her big day. As part of this NoMad wedding, we worked closely with Rebecca to create an effortlessly chic bridal look that reflected her natural elegance while complementing the carefully considered décor and design details the couple had chosen for their London wedding.
We opted for a soft, natural glam paired with loose waves that embraced Rebecca’s natural hair texture—a timeless look that felt modern yet effortless. She looked absolutely breathtaking.
The Wedding Ceremony at Fitzrovia Chapel
After Bridal glam at The Nomad, the couple headed to the iconic Fitzrovia Chapel for their wedding ceremony.Fitzrovia Chapel perfectly complemented the wedding morning at The Nomad, matching the Bride and Groom’s chic aesthetic.
The Most Iconic Way to Travel on a London Wedding Day
No Central London wedding is complete without hopping on a classic red double-decker bus. For their Transatlantic wedding, the couple travelled in style, heading from Fitzrovia Chapel back to The Nomad for their wedding reception.
Otherworldly Reception in The Nomad’s Magistrates Ballroom
The Magistrates Ballroom at The Nomad is a breathtaking space that transports guests into another world. We loved how the florals, beautifully designed by Jessie Anderson added a romantic contrast to the moody vibe of the venue.
